Fermenting apples helps eat up most of the sugar, makes the apples easier to digest and nutrients more bio-available. It also is a great way to add probiotic rich foods into your diet. Meika reacts to normal apples. She can’t break them down properly and gets bad tummy aches. She loves the cool juicy pieces of fermented apple without the side effects.

You can add them in to smoothies, eat them as is, blitz and make a fermented apple sauce, add them to baking etc.

When I’ve used up all the apples, I make gummies from the remaining juice or just drink the apple kefir. Check out the recipe for my Apple kefir gummies on  the recipes page.
