Probiotic Ice-Blocks

Summer is here, so what better way to sneak some extra gut ‘lovin’ goodness into your diet or your children’s diet, than with probiotic ice-blocks? They taste so amazing, it’s hard to believe they are actually good for you.

As a result of my daughter’s gut issues, she is a really fussy eater. It has been a hugely challenging road to get her to eat much at all. Ice-blocks have been my saving grace. I actually feed her ice-blocks all year round and she can’t get enough of them!!! Especially when teething. Coconut water kefir and pomegrante are her favourites right now, but i have been known to hide all sorts of goodies in there like avo, spinach, bone broth, collagen powder, supplements and more. Shhhhhhhhhh please don’t tell her!

For a creamy ice-block, I use Kultured Wellness coconut yogurt as a base and add in berries, or cacao, cinnamon and vanilla to mix it up. If you like them a little sweeter, adding a tiny bit of quality organic honey works really well.

I use Kultured Wellness starters due to ease of use, they taste amazing and you know exactly what strains of bacteria you are getting! They are also very gentle on your gut. My daughter has been able to tolerate them without any issues and we have noticed big improvements since using these cultures on a daily basis. They are Vegan-friendly, do not contain any additives, preservatives or fillers, and one starter can be used to make approximately 10 litres of Kefir or yoghurt.

“Kultured Wellness Yoghurt and Kefir Starters offer a simple way to make delicious fermented foods that are deeply nourishing for your gut microbiome.”
